On July 19, 2022, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by a dam operator for a dam which was located on the Wisconsin River, near Wisconsin River Drive and Jefferson Street in the Village of Port Edwards, Wood County, Wisconsin. Maintenance workers discovered human skeletal remains in the water.
