The Wisconsin Department of Justice Clearinghouse recognizes National Missing Children’s Day.
On May 25, 1983, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed it National Missing Children’s Day in memory of Ethan Patz. In Wisconsin, we commemorate National Missing Children’s Day by honoring those agencies, organizations and individuals that work to protect our children each and every day. Today serves as a reminder to all that we can actively help children in our communities stay safe, and should they go missing, we have resources to help locate them safely. The Wisconsin Clearinghouse is devoted to help locate missing children and provide assistance to families and loved ones.
We encourage people to sign up for the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network https://wisconsincrimealert.widoj.gov/ to receive missing person alerts, including AMBER Alerts, as well as visit the AMBER Alert https://amberalert.widoj.gov/ website for additional information.
